Semi-finalists all Decided in Luther Buchanan Gold Cup

Jamaica Sports News: The final two spots were decided on Sunday in the Luther Buchanan Lambs River Gold Cup following quarter-final results.

Platinum Strikers were the third team to book their place in the semifinals after a 1-0 penalty shootout win with the lone goal coming from Matthew Whittingham,the Platinum Strikers goalkeeper was the man of the match thou as he saved all three penalties he faced in the shootout,the teams had earlier played out nil all through full and extra time.

The fourth semi-final spot was taken by Bronx after they got the better of Morning Glory by a 1-0 penalty shootout win. Demar Gallimore was on target for Bronx after teammate Orane Reid had missed, Morning Glory failed to score any of their three spot kicks with the Bronx keeper making two crucial saves to send his team through to the semifinals where they will meet Platinum Strikers over two legs.

First leg action will take place this Sunday, December 2, starting at 2:30 when Arawak Camp faceoff with Daaksyde after which Bronx and Platinum Strikers will tackle each other at 4:00 p.m.
