The latest recovery occurred on the evening of Thursday, December 5, around 8:50 p.m., in the Rivoli community. During a joint patrol conducted by military and police personnel, a group of men fled in different directions upon noticing the security forces. The team immediately searched the area, uncovering a Multi Calibre American Tactical M4 Carbine rifle. The firearm was found alongside a magazine containing ten 5.56 cartridges.
This marks the third firearm recovered in the division in less than a week, highlighting the effectiveness of the intensified operational strategy. Law enforcement authorities have commended the collaborative efforts of the military and police teams, emphasizing their commitment to reducing gun violence and illegal weapons in the parish.
