Second Suspect in Shineka Gray’s Murder Captured in St. Thomas

St James, Jamaica (McN) – Police have arrested one other person in connection with the murder if 15-year-old Shineka Gray.

Mckoy’s News has learnt that the suspect was taken into custody on Friday February 3, following the discovery of Gray’s body with multiple stab wounds.

Police nabbed the first suspect shortly after the teen was found dead, and now have another suspect in custody. The accused who’s identity is withheld to protect the ongoing investigation into the gruesome murder, was apprehended in Morant Bay, St Thomas on Friday.

Head of the Constabulary Communication Unit, CCU, Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, says the police’s probe into the teen’s murder led them to St Thomas.

Lindsay states, the suspect is to be handed over to the St James Police.

Superintendent Lindsay says the police are not releasing much information at this time, to avoid jeopardizing the case.

Shineka Gray who lived in Mount Salem in Montego Bay, left home on Sunday January 29 to attend the funeral service of a friend, but never made it back home.

Her body was found with multiple stab wounds, at Irwin Meadows in Montego Bay, on Wednesday February 1.
