Scott Milum and 3 Amateurs Take Pro-Am Tournament at 57th Jamaica Open Golf Championship

United States based professional golfer Scott Milum along with three local amateurs bettered the twenty-team proam tournament which preceded the start of the 57^th Jamaica Open Golf Championship at the Tryall Golf Club in Sandy Bay, Hanover on Saturday. The three amateurs on the team were Carlyle Hudson, Diane Hudson and George Hugh. They ended with 51.25 points which was exactly two points ahead of the second place team.

There twenty-team tournament and consisted of three amateurs and one professional on each team.

Milum was happy with the win and the golf course. “It is an awesome place to play. ‘Its my first time actually in Jamaica as well so playing in the proam, playing the tournament this week I am looking forward to it. The area is beautiful and the resort here takes really good care of us, getting us to and from the golf course and everyone we met so far have been phenomenal.”

The second place team was led by pro golfer Joshua Seales. They got 53.25 points.

Patrick Coles was the pro in the third place team. That team copped 53.375 points.

Jamaica Fibre Glass Products was the corporate winner with 55.25 points. The team members were Metry Seaga, Mike Glieckman, Andre Foote and Marcus Mohr.

There were three winners for the closest to the pin prize. Benjamin Martin won for hole number two, Wayne Chai Chong for hole number four and Chris McLean for hole number 10.

The golfers will now turn their attention to the start of the three-day 57^th Jamaica Open which is scheduled for Sunday November 10 for the 8:00 am tee off. Defending champion Andrew Arft is set to tee off at 10:40 am.
