The St James police are reporting that murder charges has been laid against a female Sales representative, in connection with the murder of a 42-year-old JUTA tour operator, who was gunned down in what is believed to have been a staged motor vehicle purchase arrangement, at Gordon Crossing in Bogue, St James on Monday evening, March 15.
The woman has been identified as 20-year-old Tindra Reid, of Upper Kings Street in Montego Bay, and she has been charged with the murder of Robert Harvey, otherwise called ‘ ‘Priest’s’ of a Bogue Hill community, also in St James.
Reports by the Freeport police are that about 5:45pm, Harvey who also buys and sells vehicles received a telephone call, allegedly from Reid, who informed him that she was interested in purchasing a vehicle from him, and wanted to view the vehicle.
Both parties arranged to meet at Gordon’s Crossing, but while at the location, Reid and two men, allegedly drove to the location in a white 2014 Toyota Axio motor car registered 1418KQ.
The men brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Harvey multiple times before speeding away in the waiting motor car.
The police were summoned and upon arrival Harvey was discovered lying in a pool of blood beside the vehicle in which he had driven to the location, with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
The scene was processed and the now-deceased transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, Reid was taken into custody and charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Misprision of Felony.
