St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Repasture Road Fixed: Residents of Repasture, in Salt Spring, were made happier when their Member of Parliament for Central St. James, Heroy Clarke, fixed the road to their community.
The residents claimed that for several years they have been appealing to the relevant authorities, and the former government to have the road fixed, and all their appeals have fallen on deaf ears. The residents said that the taxi men now feel more comfortable to go to the area.
A visit to the community saw the Member of Parliament and workmen rolling the road.‘I want to thank the councilor Heroy Clarke for giving us this smooth Barber Green road’ said Chin, a longtime resident of the community.’ She said ‘When the old people go to market the taximen can now carry their loads to their gate, this is so nice to see Repasture looking so wonderful.’
The Member of Parliament said they are more roads to be fixed as times goes by, but it cant be done at the same time, so he is asking other communities to bear with him as their turn is not too far away.
