Jamaica Crime News, Portland: One man was stabbed to death and another taken into police custody in connection with the incident, following a dispute which occurred along Blake Street in Port Antonio, on Monday, March 4.
The deceased has been identified as Patrick Nelson, otherwise called “Ramon” 27-year-old laborer of Boston District also in Portland. The name of the accused is being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the police are that about 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Nelson and the accused were among a group of persons along Blake Street when an argument developed between the two.
The accused reportedly used a knife to stab Nelson to his upper body and then fled the scene.
Nelson was rushed to hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Following the incident, the police were summoned and upon their arrival, an investigation was carried out and the accused later taken into custody.
