Jamaica News: Prime Minister Andrew Holness met the executive management team and staff of Petrojam Friday.
The meeting was his first at the entity since assuming responsibility for the Energy portfolio.
The Prime Minister and his team held frank and open discussions with both the management and staff as he sought to reassure them of the government’s plan to make Jamaica energy secure and ensure Petrojam is a viable operation.
In addressing the meeting he stressed the need for politics to be kept out of the entity because it holds such importance nationally.
Mr Holness was joined on the visit by Jamaican members of the petrojam board namely Rose Pilner, Wayne Powell and chairman Paul Hoo.
