A 40-year-old Portmore man is now facing serious gun charges after police say they found an AR-15 rifle and ammunition at his home.
Charged is technician Fabian Turner of Portmore, St Catherine. He is booked for possession of prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
Reports are that around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, a Portmore police team swooped down on Turner’s premises during an operation.
During the search, cops allegedly found the high-powered AR-15 rifle with a magazine loaded with four 5.56 mm rounds. The deadly find was hidden inside a bus seat placed on the veranda.
Turner was immediately taken into custody and later charged. His court date is now being finalized.
Police continue to urge residents to report illegal guns and gunmen in their communities.
