Popular Jamaican vlogger Jaii Frais, whose given name is Jhaedee Richards, has been formally charged following Sunday’s shooting incident at Big Wall.
Police have laid charges against Richards for wounding with intent, shooting with intent, and possession of a prohibited weapon. Authorities have indicated that a court date is to be determined.
The charges were brought after a ruling earlier on Friday in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court, where a judge ordered investigators to either charge Richards or release him by 6 p.m.
In a related development, music producer Jahvel Morrison, also known as “Jhavy Ambassador,” is expected to undergo further questioning by police investigators.
Morrison’s attorneys also appeared before the court and secured a similar order directing the police to charge or release him by the same 6 p.m. deadline.
The matter remains under active investigation.
