Popular Fisherman Garth Brown Shot and Killed in Montego Bay

Latest Jamaica News [ Mckoy’s News ] Popular Fisherman Garth Brown – A popular Montego Bay fisherman was shot and killed by gunmen along a section of Albion, in Montego Bay, St James, on Friday, September 13.

He has been identified as 53-year-old Garth Brown, otherwise called ‘ Wingie” a fisherman and painter of 1st Street also in Albion, and Catherine Hall.

Reports are that about 3:45 p.m., residents heard gunshots being fired in the area and went to investigate. Upon their arrival, Brown was discovered lying along a section of the roadway in a pool of blood, with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, it was discovered that Brown had been shot over ten times.

The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue, where he was pronounced dead
