Kingston, Jamaica – Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness and the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) are showing strong positive ratings across the board as Jamaicans prepare to cast their votes next Wednesday, according to the latest Nationwide/Bluedot poll, powered by Total Tools.
The survey of 1,511 registered voters, conducted between August 19 and 27, reveals Holness and the JLP ahead of PNP leader Mark Golding in nearly every age category.
Holness’ highest approval comes from voters 55 to 64, with 52 percent giving him a positive rating, 18 points above Golding. The JLP matches this lead within the same demographic. Among voters 45 to 54, Holness enjoys 48 percent positive sentiment, also 18 points ahead of the PNP.
Younger voters, including those 18 to 24, 25 to 34, and 35 to 44, favor Holness and the JLP, while voters 65 and older showed slightly more support for Golding, with 39 percent positive ratings.
Pollsters say the results suggest that Holness and the JLP are consolidating support, while the PNP faces an uphill battle. With only four days to go, both parties are now making their final push to win over undecided voters ahead of election day.
