Police Shot In West Kingston Operation Hospitalised

Denham Town, Jamaica ( Mckoy’s News) – Police Shot In West Kingston: A police constable was admitted to hospital after being shot during an operation in Denham Town, West Kingston to combat the recent increase in gang violence.

Mckoy’s News received reports that the shot policeman, who is assigned to the Mobile Reserve was a member of a team on operation in the Denham Town/Hannah Town areas of West Kingston, when they came under fire from gunmen in the Golden Heights area of Denham Town.

Report are that the police returned fire on the gunmen and during the shootout a bullet hit the helmet of one of the policemen.

Fragments from the bullet reportedly struck the constable in the region of his shoulder.

Investigation and search for the gunmen are underway in the area.
