The Black River police in St. Elizabeth are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man whose body was discovered at a section of the Safari on Monday, with one hand severed.
According to reports, fishermen made the grisly discovery around 7:30 a.m. The body, described as having dark complexion, low-cut hair, black pants, and green boxers, was found lying in the Safari.
Upon police arrival, it was observed that other sections of the body were mangled, suggesting a possible attack by reptiles.
The scene was processed by authorities, and the body was subsequently removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination. Any information that could aid in the identification of the deceased is encouraged to be reported to the Black River police.
