Police Release Identity of Hopewell Murder Victim

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: Detectives attached to the Sandy Bay Police Department in Hanover, have now released the identity of a man, who was shot and killed in Hopewell community on Monday afternoon, of April 15.

He has been identified as, 35-year-old, Burnett “Blood Stain” Marston, a fisherman of McQuarrie Drive, also in Hopewell.

Reports by the Sandy Bay police are that, shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Marston was walking from the directions of Hopewell fishing beach, towards Hopewell Square.

On reaching the vicinity of Hopewell main Street and Pond Piece Housing Scheme intersection, Marston was approached by three men travelling in a motor car.

Marston attempted to run, but he was chased by the gunmen who opened fire hitting him multiple times to his upper body.

Marston died on the spot, while the gunmen then made their escape in the motor car.
