Clarendon police have successfully recovered approximately 40 goats believed to have been stolen, as part of an ongoing effort to combat praedial larceny in the area. Acting on a tip, officers from the Clarendon Operations team located the animals along Bustamante Highway in May Pen, where they were secured by authorities.
The police are now seeking assistance from the public to help identify the rightful owners of the recovered goats. Community members who believe their livestock may be among those recovered are encouraged to contact the May Pen Police Station at 876-986-2208 for further information.
The Clarendon Police continue to intensify efforts against agricultural theft, which remains a concern for farmers and residents in the division.
