Police Detective Shot in Head in Olympic Gardens, January, Has Died

Kingston, Jamaica (McN) – Police Detective Shot Dies: The Jamaica police force is facing the sadness of the death of another  police in 24 hrs. Police Detective Sergeant Dale Thompson of the Kingston Central Division shot on January 28, died after a three (3) months battle for his life when he was shot in the head in a shoot-out with gunmen in Olympic Gardens.

Detective Sergeant Dale Thompson was shot and injured whist on duty on Saturday, January 28, 201 in the Kingston Central Police Area. He has been hospitalized at the St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Kingston Public since the time of being shot in the head.

He died early this morning, Saturday April 29.

According to his colleagues , Sergeant Thompson was a very pleasant, brilliant, committed and hardworking detective.

He gave outstanding service to the Jamaica Constabulary Force and citizens of Jamaica for over sixteen (16) years.
