KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party (PNP) has announced the withdrawal of Lawrence Rowe as its candidate for Member of Parliament for Kingston Central. The announcement was made via a statement released on Saturday.
In the statement, the party expressed gratitude for Rowe’s service, saying, “We thank Comrade Rowe for his service to the party and his efforts in representing the people of Kingston Central. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
The PNP also noted that its leadership has been working closely with Rowe and the constituency executive during this transition period, stressing that the interests of Kingston Central residents remain their top priority.
Reaffirming its commitment to the community, the party stated it is focused on ensuring strong and effective representation that uplifts and serves the people of the constituency.
The PNP has not yet named a replacement candidate for Kingston Central, but further updates are expected as the party continues its preparations for upcoming elections.
