Dormant Bank Fee Class Action Lawsuit

PNP Seeking Support on Dormant Bank Fee Class Action Lawsuit

Kingston, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) Dormant Bank Fee Class Action Lawsuit: The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) is seeking support for a class action lawsuit against banks for charging fees on dormant accounts.

In a tweet on May 25, the PNP is seeking followers who have lost money in dormant accounts, to join Member of Parliament, Fitz Jackson on his drive to pursue this lawsuit. The lawsuit is to recover funds lost in dormant accounts and through his Twitter handle, is asking for persons who want to support him on this issue, to email him at jabankfee@gmail.com

Although Bank of Nova Scotia, National Commercial Bank, First Global and CIBC and First Caribbean suspended their fees on dormant accounts since the issue was raised earlier this year, MP Jackson said it was not good enough where there had been a breach of the law.
