Kingston, Jamaica — People’s National Party (PNP) President Mark Golding says the party has peaked at the perfect time and is confident of securing victory in Jamaica’s 19th general elections.
Speaking after casting his ballot earlier today, Golding declared that the PNP has run a stronger, more effective campaign despite what he described as the “advantage” the governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) enjoys with the media.
The Opposition Leader was flanked by Stacey Knight, the PNP’s candidate for North East St. Andrew, who stood proudly at his side. Knight is going head-to-head with veteran JLP politician Delroy Chuck in what is shaping up to be a hotly contested battle.
Golding’s confidence comes as the #RaceTo32 heats up across the island, with party supporters on both sides turning out in their colours, determined to make their voices heard at the polls.
