Overturned Truck Blocks Mount Rosser Roadway, Motorists Urged to Use Alternative Route

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Motorists travelling between St Catherine and St Ann are being urged to avoid the Mount Rosser roadway following an early morning crash on Tuesday that has rendered the main thoroughfare impassable.

According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), a trailer truck overturned near Hines Quarter shortly after midnight, blocking vehicular access in both directions.

Police traffic personnel have been deployed to the area and are currently working in coordination with relevant authorities to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.

In the meantime, motorists are advised to use the North-South Highway as an alternative route until the roadway is fully reopened.

There has been no immediate report of injuries, and investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
