The St James police have confirmed that one of the main suspects in the shooting deaths of three men along King Street in downtown Montego Bay on Tuesday night has turned himself in.
The wanted man, John Roach, reportedly surrendered to the police on Wednesday.
Roach and another man, Kasheem Lewis, otherwise called ‘Borderline,’ were being sought in connection with the murders of 17-year-old Jaydon Bennett, 62-year-old fisherman David West, and 26-year-old Rashaun Williams, all of King Street addresses.
Following the deaths of the men, Commanding Officer for the Parish of St James, Eron Samuels, identified Roach and Lewis as the shooters involved in this triple murder and two previous shooting incidents.
Reports indicate that around 5:00 pm, the police were alerted to a shooting incident in the area and responded immediately. Upon their arrival, they were fired upon by Roach and Lewis. The police returned fire, resulting in both men escaping, leaving behind two illegal guns.
