One man was fatally shot, and six other persons wounded, after gunmen opened fire at persons at a Jerk Centre in Bridgewater, Westmoreland, on Sunday morning, June 25.
The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Lasharoo Shaw, otherwise called ‘ Lenky ‘a Pineapple farmer of Belfont district, in St James.
Reports by the police are that about 9:30am, Shaw and a group of persons were cleaning up after a party which he hosted on Saturday night, at a Jerk Centre in Bridgewater community.
While at the location, a group of men travelling on board a white Toyota motor car, drove to the community and brandished handguns.
The men opened fire hitting Shaw, along with six other persons before escaping from the area.
Following the shooting, the police were summoned and upon arrival it was discovered that Shaw had died on the spot, while the others were treated and admitted in serious condition.
