Manchester, Jamaica – A tragic two-vehicle collision in Christiana, Manchester, on Monday morning has resulted in the death of a nine-year-old boy. The child, who was the son of a policewoman, sustained fatal injuries in the crash, which occurred on the Sedburgh Main Road.
The boy was being transported to school by his mother, a constable assigned to the Christiana Police Station, at the time of the accident. The collision involved her vehicle and another, though details regarding the second vehicle and its occupants have not yet been disclosed.
Emergency services arrived at the scene promptly and transported the injured parties to a nearby hospital. The young boy was pronounced dead upon arrival, while his mother was admitted to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. Her condition is currently stable, and she is receiving medical care.
