New York Mother Arrested In Murder Of Gymnastics Coach Boyfriend

New York, United States of America (Daily News)- New York Mother Arrested In Murder Of Gymnastics Coach Boyfriend: The mother-of-two who flagged down New York authorities to report an incident with her gymnastics coach boyfriend has been charged with his murder.

Nicole Addimando is accused of fatally shooting 30-year-old Christopher Grover at the apartment they shared with their two young children in Poughkeepsie, police said.

The 29-year-old suspect stopped a patrol officer just after 2 a.m. Thursday, saying there had been an “incident” with Grover at their residence. When officers arrived at the Dutchess Apartments complex, they discovered the coach dead from a gunshot wound to the head, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

Most of the details surrounding Grover’s death are still a mystery, including his live-in girlfriend’s motive.

Those who knew Addimando were shocked over the violent tragedy and said they’d known her to be nothing other than a kind and doting mother, according to the newspaper.

Officers arrested Addimando following a preliminary investigation and charged her with second-degree murder. Police are still continuing to investigate the slaying.

Grover worked as the head coach at Mr. Todd’s Gymnastics in Poughkeepsie, where it appears his girlfriend was also once employed.

“I don’t really know how to begin this post nor do we feel this is real,” gym owners Marisa and Todd Hart wrote in a Facebook post. “Our bodies are numb, the tears keep flowing, sick to our stomach and so many other feelings. Still in disbelief and can’t figure out why this all happening. Our head coach, Chris, was taken from us yesterday and my thoughts go out to his family.”

Addimando was being held in Dutchess County Jail without bail and is slated to reappear in court on Monday.
