Jamaica News, Kingston: The complex, situated at 1 South Street, Ferry Pen in Kingston, was officially opened on Monday, by Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Senator the Honourable Ruel Reid.

The new head office and logistics hub, which is inside an Industrial Park, along the Mandela Highway, is expected to play a major role in the Swiss company’s plans to widen its operation in the Northern Caribbean.

The Nestle complex comprises 6.3 acres, with the office space accounting for 800 square metres, while the warehouses/distribution hub occupies 6,000 square metres.

The front of two-storey office building is towards the highway, while the warehouse is at the back of the property.

Nestle, which distributes more than 2,000 brands worldwide and 85 product brands on the local market, celebrated its 78th year of operation in Jamaica last month.

The company’s local manufacturing and distribution facilities were previously located at Bog walk in St. Catherine.
