MOUNT SALEM TAXI OPERATOR MURDERED

The police in Montego Bay St James is now carrying out investigations surrounding the shooting death of a Mount Salem taxi operator in the community of Norwood on Monday night.

 

The dead man has been identified has Bunniel Renaldo McDonald otherwise called “Bounty” 31 years old of Crawford Street in Mount Salem. Investigators reported that. McDonald who operates a Toyota Camry motor car as a taxi from downtown Montego Bay to his community in Norwood was on the job as usual on Monday, September 25th, 2017.

 

About 8:00 pm he received a charter from unknown persons who asked to be taken to Norwood. On reaching a section Norwood known as Church Lane a group of armed men then opened fire on the car and in an attempt to save his own life McDonald jumped from his car and started to run.

 

The gunmen opened fire hitting him several times to the regions of his back. They then made their escape from the scene.The Montego Hills and Freeport police were alerted and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
