Motorcyclist Dies in St Elizabeth Crash

Jamaica News, St Elizabeth: One man lost his life in a motorcycle accident which occurred along a section of the Santa Cruz main road, in St. Elizabeth, on Wednesday night, April 3.

The victim has been identified as 38-year-old O’Neil Esson, otherwise called “Boyie” laborer of Pisgah district, also in St. Elizabeth.

Reports by the Santa Cruz police are that shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Esson was riding a motorcycle from the directions of Santa Cruz towards Lacovia.

On reaching a section of the roadway, he collided with a Toyota Hiace minibus, which was travelling in the opposite directions.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The police are now carrying out investigations surrounding the crash.
