MOTHER HANDS OVER MAN SOUGHT ON GUN CHARGES

St. James, Jamaica (McN) –  A 20 years old man who the St James Police say shot at another man with an illegal firearm in the Flamstead Gardens community on the morning of Saturday, January 7, 2017  was later handed over to the Spring Mount Police by his mother.

According to Police report, the accuse who has since been charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition and Shooting With Intent charges as been identified as Adrian Beckford.

Reports by the police are that. About 7:30 am on Saturday, Beckford and another 21 years old man got involved in an
argument in the Flamstead Gardens community.

The allegations are that Beckford pulled a handgun from his waistband and fired several shots at the other man.

The man ran and barely escape with his life and later made a report to the Spring Mount Police.

A search was then carried out for the accused but with little success.

The accused was later handed over to the Police by his mother .

Mckoy’s News was informed that the accused was subsequently charged in connection with the alleged crime.
