Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Montego Bay Mayhem – 2 More Men Killed: A man, who the police in Montego Bay say was a robot taxi operator and back up man, was shot and killed by a gunman on St. James Street in broad daylight on Sunday.
He has been identified as 29-year-old, Devon Willie a robot taxi operator and back up man of a Rose Heights address.
Reports are that shortly after 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 22, Willie drove a Toyota Corolla motor car and parked in the vicinity of Best Care Pharmacy on St. James Street in downtown Montego Bay.
Willie was in the process of seeking passengers to transport them to the Uptown business community when a car drove up beside him, and one man
jumped from the car and brandished a handgun. The gunman opened fire, hitting Willie several times in his upper body.
The gunman made his escape in the waiting motor car, while several other robot taxi operators who were at the location, rushed Willie to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he died whilst being treated.
Over the past twelve days, four persons have been brutally slain by gunmen in four separate shooting incidents within the vicinity of the Barnett Street police station.
