Green Pond, St. James (McN) – MISSING ST. JAMES TEEN OF GREEN POND HIGH FOUND STABBED TO DEATH – Follow-up.
Green Pond Grieves Today as, the decomposing body of missing Green Pond High School student Shineka Gray was discovered in the bushes in Irwin Meadows, St. James on Wednesday evening.
The 15-year-old student who attended the Green Pond High School in St. James and resides in Mount Salem, also in St. James was reported missing on Sunday – hours after she reportedly left home and went to a funeral service of a friend.
Shineka Gray was not seen or heard from since she attended the funeral.
Reports by police are that about 6 pm on Wednesday a resident of Irwin Meadows smelt a foul stench coming from a dirt track (trail) road in the area, and went to investigate. Upon reaching the ara of the smell she stumbled on the partially decomposed body of a teen girl and raised alarm.
Investigations by the police discovered the body to be that of Shineka Gray, Green Pond High school missing student.
Per police reports, the boy of Gray had what appeared to be multiple stab wounds to her upper body, it is also believed that the victim could have been raped, as her body was discovered without any underwear.
The body of Gray was pronounced dead at hospital and transported to the morgue for postmortem examination.
