Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Mini Van Driver Executed at Stoplight: The driver of a Panel mini van was shot and killed by a gunman in the vicinity of the Stop Light at the Queens Drive and Leaders Avenue intersection in Montego Bay, St James on Thursday morning, August 31.

Investigators who are presently still on the scene say they have not yet gotten the full identity of the victim and are unable to provide a motive at this time.

Reports are that, about 9:00 am on Thursday, the victim was driving a white Panel mini van along Leaders Avenue towards the directions of Queens Drive Intersection.

On reaching the Stop Light, he came upon a line of traffic and came to a halt. Immediately, a man who was traveling in another vehicle close behind him, jumped from his car and ran up to the victim’s vehicle.

The man then brandished a handgun and fired several shots from across the passenger side of the van, hitting the driver several times to his upper body. The gunman then made his escape in the waiting motorcar.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the victim was seen slumped over the steering wheel of the van with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
