Latest Jamaica News, St Mary (McKoy’s News): Western Union Robbery The St Mary police have now launched a manhunt for two armed robbers who carried out a brazen day-light robbery at a Western Union Money Transfer outlet in Oracabessa, St Mary on Tuesday, August 27.

The robbers stole cash amounting to over $2-million dollars, before shooting a security guard and escaping with his licensed firearm.

The injured security officer is presently still at hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 9:00 a.m., on Tuesday, the Western Union had just opened its doors for business, when two men barged into the outlet and held the workers and Security guard at gunpoint.

The men demanded money, and while their demands were being met the security guard attempted to disarm them. He was shot and injured, and his licensed firearm stolen.

It is said that the armed robbers escaped with the cash and the weapon on a motorcycle.
