Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: Detectives attached to the Mandeville police station in the parish of Manchester, say they are now combing sections of the parish in search of two armed men who robbed a financial institution of approximately $4-milliion in cash, on Wednesday afternoon, May 15.
Reports by the police are that on Wednesday afternoon, two armed men wearing masks entered the financial institution, which is located in the vicinity of the service station on Caledonia Road, in Mandeville.
The gunmen held up the cashiers and robbed them of cash estimated in the regions of over $4-million, before making their escape in a waiting grey Honda Stream motor car.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, they conducted a search of the area for the armed robbers, which proved futile.
In the meanwhile, an eyewitness related that the gunmen were very professional in carrying out the robbery and also despite it being an armed robbery, they mocked their victims by acting in a courteous manner and even thanked the cashiers while leaving the building with the stolen loot.
