MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A 22-year-old Manchester man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of another man in Mandeville on Monday morning.
Jahvaughn Nicholson, a resident of Watermouth district in Porus, has been charged in connection with the killing of 29-year-old Renardo Lewin, also known as ‘Joker,’ who lived in Wint Glade, Manchester.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 5:20 a.m. at an establishment on Tudor Avenue, off Ward Avenue. Nicholson and Lewin reportedly got into a dispute, during which Nicholson allegedly used a knife to stab Lewin multiple times. Lewin was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Nicholson, who was also injured during the altercation, received medical treatment before being taken into police custody.
The killing marks the first reported murder in Manchester since the start of 2025. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
