The St Andrew South police are investigating the fatal shooting of an unidentified man while he was cutting a fallen tree along Fifth Street in Greenwich Town, Kingston 13, on Thursday.
According to reports, around 10:30 a.m., the man was cutting a tree that had been uprooted in a yard by Hurricane Beryl.
While working, he was ambushed by unknown assailants who opened fire, hitting him multiple times.
The police were called to the scene and found the man lying in a pool of blood with several gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The scene was processed, and the body was transported to the morgue for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify the victim and apprehend the perpetrators.
