Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: One man was shot and killed, and another shot and injured by gunmen at Grey Ground district, in Manchester on Saturday morning, December 8.
The dead man has been identified as 50-year-old Winston Lowe, otherwise called “Chiney Man”, farmer also of Grey Ground district. The identity of the injured man is being withheld by the police.
Reports by the Mandeville police are that about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Lowe and the other man were walking at a section of the community when they were ambushed by armed men, who shot them multiple times.
Residents in the community alerted the police and upon the arrival of the lawmen, both wounded men were transported to hospital, where Lowe was pronounced dead. The other man was admitted in serious condition.
