The Anchovy police have identified a man who was shot and killed in Anchovy, St. James, on Saturday afternoon as 26-year-old Travis Laird, also known as ‘Man Rat,’ a carver from Lawson in the Roehampton district.
Reports indicate that shortly after 1:00 PM, Laird was standing outside a shop known as Bling Dog Shop when he was ambushed by a lone gunman. The assailant brandished a handgun and opened fire, hitting Laird multiple times before escaping the area on foot.
The police were summoned, and upon their arrival, Laird was found lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds. The scene was processed, and the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
