A 26-year-old man identified as Tajay Thomas from Spanish Town, St Catherine, tragically lost his life while enjoying a beach outing with his girlfriend in Ocho Rios, St Ann, on Monday.
Reports indicate that around 2:30 PM, Thomas and his girlfriend were tubing at a beach in Ocho Rios. They were on a tube being towed by a speedboat when Thomas accidentally fell into the water and struck a rugged reef.
He suffered severe head and body injuries from the impact. Thomas was quickly transported to St Ann’s Bay Hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries during surgery shortly after.
