Man Arrested Following $15 Million Cocaine Seizure

Latest Jamaica News, St Andrew: A man is now in police custody after he was allegedly held with cocaine valued at approximately J$15.6 million, on Thursday in St Andrew.

The police have withheld his identity pending an interview in the presence of his attorney.

Reports from the police are that an operation was being carried out on Constant Spring Road in St Andrew, when the driver of a Mitsubishi motorcar was signalled to stop. The driver complied and the vehicle was searched.

During the search, a knapsack containing parcels of cocaine weighing approximately four pounds was found.

The man was subsequently arrested, and the drugs and motor vehicle seized.
