Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Major Gun Seizure at Kingston Wharves: The Police High Command is investigating a major gun and ammunition seizure at the Kingston Wharves yesterday.
The items confiscated include 15 high powered weapons and more than 4,000 rounds of assorted ammunition
The riffles seized include two AK 47, three 5.56 calibre rifles, two 5.56 riffles and 8 pistols along with 30 assorted magazines, 2,100 rounds 5.56 spiral magazines and more than 4,000 assorted rounds of a ballistic rounds.
A ballistic vest was also found.
In a statement last night, Commissioner of Police George Quallo said the high powered firearms and ammunition were destined for the criminal underworld.
He commended the members of the security forces and Jamaica Customs.
