KINGSTON, Jamaica — One of the primary suspects in the fatal shooting that claimed the lives of three‑year‑old Zaylon Pinnock and his father, 31‑year-old Kerrio Pinnock, has given himself up to authorities, police confirmed on Monday.
Police reports state that 33‑year‑old Decome Mahonie, a chef from Kingston, surrendered at the Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) following the weekend’s deadly incident in Denham Town.
Investigators continue to pursue two other men believed to be involved, identified as Joseph Kenneth Smith, known locally as ‘Beenie Bud’, and another male suspect known only by the alias ‘Jubie’. Authorities are urging both men to turn themselves in, and have appealed to the public to provide any information that could assist the probe.
The shooting occurred during a home invasion in the early hours of Saturday, leaving the toddler dead and his father fatally wounded before succumbing to injuries. Police have not released details of the motives but have reaffirmed their commitment to apprehending all persons connected to the case.
