Jamaica Sports News: The Luther Buchanan Lambs River Gold Cup continued yesterday with two games that saw six goals.
In the first game of the day, Platinum Strikers continued their impressive form as they trashed Police 5-0 with four of the goals scoring in the second half. The win means that Platinum Strikers topped their zone with maximum 9 points and booked their place in the quarter-final and also the Mid Season semi-final.
The second game between rivals Bronx and Daaksyde didn’t create much as both teams played casually for most of the game before the Bronx got their breakthrough to take all three points with a 1-0 victory which means they have topped their zone with 7 points and also qualify for the quarter-final and the Mid Season semi-final.
The final set of group games will play on Sunday, October 28, when host Arawak Camp will take on Morning Glory starting at 3 o’clock,a win will see Arawak Camp finish second and a place in the Mid Season semi-final the second game will see Arrow Nation going up against Daakayde who will seek revenge from the last time they both met when Arrow Nation got the better of the 3-1, a win for Arrow Nation will earn them a Mid Season semi-final spot and a draw would see Daaksyde clinching second place and the Mid Season semi-final spot.
