Portmore, Jamaica — The Portmore police are investigating the shooting death of a man at his residence in the Rose Merry district of Naggo Head, Portmore, on Saturday morning. The victim, identified as 52-year-old Luke Young, also known as ‘Lukie Screw’, was well-known in the area.
Residents in Rose Merry district reported hearing gunfire around 6:00 a.m. Concerned for their safety, they immediately contacted the police and conducted a search of the area. Young was discovered inside his home, lying on his bed in a pool of blood, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials found Young with gunshot injuries predominantly to his upper body. The crime scene was processed, and Young’s body was subsequently transported to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
Young, who resided in the same district where he was killed, was notorious in the community. According to investigators, he had a history of violent behavior and was involved in various criminal activities, earning a reputation as a significant “violence producer.”
