Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: A licensed firearm holder who reportedly shot and killed his mentally challenged brother-in-law in order to save his wife from being chopped to death on Wednesday, June 13,  is presently still being questioned by investigators attached to the St Ann Police Department.

The deceased has been identified as Earl Fullerton, otherwise called “Buja” 44-year-old farmer of Collin Park District in Rio Hoe also in Moneague, St Ann.

Reports by the Moneague Police are that shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the licensed firearm holder and his wife who is the sister of the deceased were at home when an argument developed between Fullerton and his sister.

Fullerton who is said to be mentally challenged, armed himself with a machete and chased his sister around the yard in a bid to chop her.  The Licensed firearm holder who was inside the house overheard his wife crying for help and ran outside to investigate.

He called out to Fullerton, but he ignored him and chopped viciously at his sister’s head.  To avoid his wife being killed the licensed firearm holder reached for his licensed firearm and opened fire hitting Fullerton to his upper body.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
