Lawrence Tavern Shooting Leaves 24-Year-Old Truck Driver Dead

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old truck driver who was attacked at his Lawrence Tavern home on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Carl Brown of Park Road in the St Andrew community.

According to reports, Brown was carrying out repairs on a motorcycle at his residence at about 11:40 p.m. when a gunman approached and opened fire. The young man was shot during the attack before the assailant fled the scene.

Brown was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators have not yet determined what led to the shooting.

The Constant Spring Criminal Investigations Branch is conducting inquiries into the incident, which occurred within the St Andrew North police division.
