The St Andrew South Police have launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of 34-year-old labourer Ricardo Anderson, also known as “Cardo,” of Seaward Road, Kingston 11.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning. Reports indicate that around 9:45 a.m., residents heard explosions near Anderson’s residence and alerted the authorities.
When police arrived on the scene, Anderson was found with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
As of now, investigators have not identified a motive for the killing.
The Hunts Bay Police are actively probing the case and are appealing to anyone with information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
