Labour Min. Implementing Employment App for Jamaican Job Seekers

Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)Employment App: Jamaica’s Ministry of Labour is developing a mobile app which will target job seekers, making it easier for them to be matched with employment.

The Labour Ministry employment app gets a thumbs up from Fayval Williams, State Minister in the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service.

Mrs. Williams says that she is hopeful that the Labour Market Information System app, which is slated for implementation during the first quarter of the 2018/19 fiscal year, will aid in reducing the amount of time persons spend searching for jobs.

Minister Williams highlighted that the app will guide job seeker to where the opportunities are, as well as help to decrease frustration experienced if they are either unsuccessful or meet protracted delays in gaining employment.
