Laborer Shot to Death in Dumfries, St James

Jamaica Crime News: One man was discovered shot to death inside an old abandoned shop, at Dumfries community, in St James, on Tuesday morning, June 11.

The dead man has been identified as Jernado Buckley, a 23-year-old laborer also of Dumfries, community.

Reports by the police are that Buckley was last seen alive on Monday night, approximately 11:00 p.m. while walking with his sister in the community.

About 6:00 a.m., on Tuesday resident, raised an alarm, after they stumbled upon his body inside a shop.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Buckley was seen in a crouched position, inside the abandoned shop, with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was later transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
