Kingston Man Caught with over $150,000 in Counterfeit Money

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: One man was arrested and charged by the Hunts Bay Police in connection with the seizure of over $150,000 in counterfeit money on Wednesday, July 11.

The accused has been identified as Winston Bartlet, otherwise called “Redman” 32-year-old of Tavares Gardens in Kingston 11.

The Hunts Bay Police have reported that about 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Bartlet was travelling along a  section of Mahoe Drive when he was stopped by a team of officers attached to the Mobile Reserve Division.

A search was carried out of the vehicle which led to the seizure of One Hundred and Fifty (150)  US$100 counterfeit notes.

The counterfeit American dollars all had the serial numbers LF74647441J, LL16005565E  and  LK41997755D.

Bartley was slapped with criminal charges and is booked to appear in the St Andrew Parish Court on Monday, July 16.
